Logistics Facility

The Logistics Facility is a 30,159 square-meter (324,640 square-foot) building located south of the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) . It houses 190,000 space shuttle hardware parts, and about 500 NASA and contractor personell work there. The most unusual feature of the Logistics Facility is its state-of-to-art parts retrieval system, which includes automated handling equipment to find and retrieve specific space shuttle parts.
